Overview

Circular walk following the Swan's Neck loop of the Grand Western canal and then along quiet lanes and footpaths to Uplowman and Sampford Peverell and then back along the canal towpath to Halberton. Just a couple of hills and a few muddy places.

Start place: Tiverton Road Bridge car park on the Grand Western Canal. What3words is: ducks.alas.staining. and not the one above which is generated automatically by the system! From Taunton turn off the M5 at Junction 27 and follow the A361 North Devon Link Road, taking the first exit to Sampford Peverell and Halberton. Drive through Sampford Peverell and Halberton and the car park is approx half a mile out of the village on the right-hand side just after the bridge over the canal. It is a sharp right turn into the car park. Start time 10.00h or to car share meet at Crescent car park Taunton to depart at 9.15h
