Overview

A walk along the river, through the barracks, across a meadow and around the university area of York and back to the city by bus (don't forget to bring Bus Passes if you have them) with time for shopping at the end.

This is a train walk starting from Newark Northgate station.  The train leaves at 9.46 and arrives in York at 10.32 where the walk will start.  Please meet in the entrance of the station near to the taxi rank.  We will have an opportunity to have a drink or snack in the university cafe or there are places to sit to eat sandwiches.  We shall catch a bus back to the city when there will be free time to shop, eat or visit one of the interesting attractions.  The return train leaves at 16.34 and arrives back in Newark at 17.20.

Please register for this walk on Newark ramblers website.
