The walk will follow parts of the Wayfarers Walk to Hinton Ampner, New Pond Cottages, Lacey's Farm, joining the Itchen Way at Cheriton, onto Hill Houses, returning via Gander Down on the Allan King Way, Holden Farm on the SDW, and Beauworth.
Post recce; the ground is very firm with no mud to negotiate and the weather forecast is good although could be chilly. There are a few "ups and downs" on the walk, but nothing too taxing. There will be a short break for drinks in the morning with a longer break for lunch, bring your own refreshments. There are just 6 stiles to negotiate, all before the morning break.
Park in the layby opposite the Kilmeston Village Hall. Car share if possible
