From Wells we take a footpath to the east gate of Holkham Park. Skirting through the park, we leave by the north gate and head north onto Lady Ann's Drive to reach Holkham beach, the finest in Norfolk with it's wide expanse of golden sand, pine trees and sand dunes. We head east, taking in the beach and woods to reach the RNLI lifeboat station in Wells. Taking the causeway overlooking the port, we head inland to the historic bustling, old port town of Wells with it's narrow streets lined with cottages and shops before returning to our starting point.
