Winter Wander from Bourne

This 'figure of eight' walk to start the new year has the option of either a 5 or 4 mile walk, or the whole 9 miles. 

In the morning we walk south across the Wellhead and out of the town following tracks to the village of Northorpe and then on to Lawrence Park, Thurlby for a break. Crossing the A15 and picking up the Car Dyke - an ancient Roman canal - heading back to Bourne where lunch will be taken in gardens adjacent to the car park (5 miles).

In the afternoon we'll head north of Bourne again picking up the Car Dyke and walking out to the village of Dyke before turning back on footpaths and finally along a roadside pavement back to Bourne (4miles).
