We start walking to Alexandra Palace which has splendid views of the London skyline from its terrace. This was the original home of the BBC. Then take the Parkland walk through the nature reserve. This is the course of a disused railway line that passes through Highgate Wood then on to Finsbury Park. Then via the New River walk to Woodberry Wetlands nature reserve and on to Manor house. The New River walk has been recently been resurfaced, so is much improved. The walk from Wood Green to the start of the Parkland walk is hilly. Picnic/café lunch. Toilets at Alexandra Palace and lunch. Almost all the paths on this walk are hard core, but when I did the reccie some paths had lots of puddles.
