Wytham Woods are a 423.8-hectare (1,047-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest north-west of Oxford in Oxfordshire. It is a Nature Conservation Review site.
Habitats in this site, which formerly belonged to Abingdon Abbey, include ancient woodland and limestone grassland.
We will be walking around these beautiful woods and exploring the neighbouring countryside which will include the Thames Path and probably some very muddy footpaths.
Sorry but dogs are not allowed in Wytham Woods
Please bring drinks and snacks for the walk.
As there has been so much rain and flooding, the exact route will be planned just before the day but expect a walk of approximately 10 miles with some hills in the woods, and plenty of mud.
After the walk, you are warmly invited to join us in The Plough, The Green, Upper Wolvercote, Oxford OX2 8BD at 4 pm for the AGM . Some refreshments will be provided!
