Here is your chance to enjoy a flat 8 mile walk through the forest and along the shoreline of this beautiful beach to Llanddwyn Island. Soak up the atmosphere of this unique place with its fascinating natural history, romantic legend and world famous geology.
Arrangements have been made with our hosts Nick and Larry at the Newborough Modal Village to park cars free of charge and to use the toilet facilities. After the walk the on-site cafe will be open for our group, so please be sure to stay on for a panad and cake.
Booking is requested - please text me on 07908 128768 and I will confirm your place.
Please car share if possible as car parking space is limited.
Please do not arrive before 9:30am as the gate to the Model Village will not be open and standing vehicles on the roadside can create a hazard. Aim to arrive by 9:45am to be ready for the start.
The No. 42 bus service between Bangor and LLangefni has stops near the Model Village.
This walk is suitable for well behaved dogs on leads but please inform me when booking your place that you wish to bring your dog.
There are toilets at the start and at Newborough beach car park which we will walk through.
Warm clothing is recommended for this exposed location. Bring food and drink for the day.
In the event of a severe weather warning the walk will be cancelled or postponed and the leader will not go to the site.
