What we do
Bedfordshire Festival of Autumn Walks
Following the success of the 2024 Festival of Autumn Walks, Bedfordshire Ramblers are already planning the 2025 Festival.
The Festival will run from Saturday 6th to Sunday 14th Sept 2024. Put the dates in your diaries and come and join us!
The full programme will be posted on our Beds Walk Fest website and on our dedicated Facebook page, Bedfordshire Festival of Autumn Walks.
We will be offering a range of walks across all of our beautiful little county for you to enjoy. There will be walks to suit all abilities - long walks, short walks, well-being and interest walks. Walks will be scheduled in the mornings and afternoons in addition to all day walks. Most of the walks will not require booking.
The festival is being run with the cooperation of the four groups that make up Bedfordshire Ramblers, namely Leighton Buzzard, North Beds, Ivel Valley Walkers and Lea and Icknield (Luton).
A couple of highlights to look out for: Ever been on the John Bunyan Boat? Join us for a day trip combining a walk and a sail from Priory Park to Great Barford and back.
Do you fancy testing yourself?
This year we are reinstating the Greensand Challenge – a 40 mile linear walk, spread over two days, following the route of the Greensand Ridge from Leighton Buzzard to Gamlingay. Never walked before and worried about it – try one of our many Wellbeing walks which are shorter, flat and slower. A great introduction to walking!
The full programme will be posted on our Beds Walk Fest website and on our dedicated Facebook page, Bedfordshire Festival of Autumn Walks.
