BOSTON RAMBLERS is a local group of the Lincolnshire Area of The Ramblers. Every year, we organise a varied programme of led walks in the Lincolnshire countryside and further afield. We are a lively, friendly and wide-age range group and warmly welcome you to come along on one or two of our walks before deciding on membership. We recommend that you wear walking boots or shoes and carry waterproof clothing. On full-day walks we also recommend that you to bring a rucksack with a packed lunch and drinks. It is a great way to get outside, visit the hidden places of our beautiful county, make new friends and discover how walking boosts your health and happiness.
WE ORGANISE a programme of full-day walks which are mainly on every other Sunday and are usually 12-15km (7.5-9mi) in length. Our weekly Wednesday walks in the lighter evenings and our fortnightly Wednesday/Thursday morning walks at other times of the year are usually 6-8km (3.5-5mi) in length. Our morning walks are usually followed by an optional pub lunch. We also arrange long weekend walking holidays two or three times a year, for example to the Peak District, the Yorkshire Dales and Coast and the Norfolk Coast. We also arrange once a year a 6 to 9 days walking holiday including coach and/or air travel. In recent years we have visited Scotland, Ireland, Bulgaria and Crete. Our social calendar includes a September Buffet and a Christmas Party.
