Calke 40 Coalville Ramblers Old-style 29.2.24

About Us

We are Coalville Ramblers - a friendly group based in the heart of the National Forest. Within our area we have a great network of well marked paths that pass through a variety of stunning landscapes ranging from the ancient Charnwood Forest to the many young woodlands and forest parks that have been developed since the creation of the National Forest in 1995.  We usually walk on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays with some Monday evening walks in the summer and the occasional Sunday walk.  We also organise coach trips, weekends away and other social meet ups.

Join us

We welcome new walkers - non members are welcome to join us to try out a walk while they decide if they would like to join the group. Most of our walks don’t require booking, just arrive about 15 minutes before the start time. We usually stop for refreshments during the walk so bring along a drink and, for longer walks, a packed lunch. Well behaved dogs (and owners!) are welcome on most of our walks - if you have any questions please give the walk leader a call beforehand. Our members enjoy the
chance to stay fit and active, enjoy the great outdoors and make lifelong friends.

Campaign with us - protect the places we walk
