Walking in Didcot & Wallingford

We are one of the ten Ramblers Groups in Oxfordshire. The area where we walk stretches from the Berkshire Downs in the south west to the foothills of the Chilterns in the north east. It includes several miles of the Thames Path; part of the Ridgeway; and the chalk hills and beech woods around Ewelme and Swyncombe. It is an area of great variety and natural beauty.

We organise over 80 led walks a year ranging in distance between 3 miles and 11 miles, some at a leisurely pace, and some at a more challenging, moderate pace. There should be walks that suit everyone. As well as the led walks each year we arrange a walking weekend away and a barbecue.

Our walking community

If you enjoy walking and nature, whilst chatting with like-minded people, then come and join the Didcot & Wallingford Ramblers on a led walk through the Oxfordshire countryside. You are very welcome to come along to try up to three walks before deciding whether you would like to become a member of Ramblers. Come and join us to make new friends, keep fit and enjoy the countryside.
