A friendly Group that has been in existence for nearly 40 years and offers a varied and interesting programme of walks in the Northern Cotswold area throughout the year.
We help local people enjoy walking and protect local footpaths. Walking is a great way to get outside, make new friends and discover how walking boosts health and happiness. Walks are typically 6 - 10 miles at an steady pace. We welcome new members - our walks often include a pub lunch which creates a more sociable atmosphere.
The majority of our walks are centred in the North Cotswold Region but, for variety, we do rome and ramble into other areas. Car sharing is encouraged when walking further afield. We organise an annual 4-day Away Break in picturesque countryside or historic areas. Group members also created the North Cotswold Diamond Way, a sixty-mile circular walk centred on Moreton-in-Marsh. Copies of the 3rd Edition (2023) of the Diamond Way are being prepared.
