Walking in Severnside and beyond
Severnside Ramblers has about 150 members. We are a friendly bunch and always keen to welcome new walkers and visitors - we hope that they enjoy themselves when out with us!
We are based in Bradley Stoke, north Bristol. Ideally sited for access to the Cotswolds, Mendips, Wiltshire Downs, Wye Valley and Brecon Beacons. We offer Friday Ambles and Sunday walks ranging from 3 miles to over 12 miles, something, we hope, for all walkers to enjoy. We publish a walks and social events programme every three months.
Our walks
Friday Ambles are usually shorter walks, typically about 2 hours walking (4 miles), but no less wide ranging. Our ambles usually end at a local cafe or pub. Over the years this social event has proved very popular. Our Group help local people enjoy walking and protect the places we all love to walk.
Sundays, usually for longer distance walkers, typically 10 to 14 miles and take in the Cotswolds, the Brecons, the Mendips, Wye Valley and the Marlborough Downs. Plus many places in between.
And we like to record memories of where we've been! Photographs of many of our previous walks are on our local website so have a look and see who we are and where we go.
