Walks leaflets 

Since the group was formed in 1993 we have produced three sets of walks leaflets. 

A series of five walks, first printed in the mid 1990s, consisted of five walks in the Tonyrefail and Llantrisant areas. 

The six Bunny walks in the Llantrisant area were first produced in 2006 and were updated and reprinted in 2019. 

Our latest project, the six Badger walks in the Pontyclun area, were  published in 2023 after delays caused by the Covid restrictions and temporary closure orders. 

Footpath maintenance 

Some members of the group also help out by going out regularly to inspect and clear paths in the Llantrisant and Pontyclun areas. Simple repairs to path stiles are also undertaken.  

We have agreements with these two community councils to inspect the Bunny and Badger walks each year. In 2020 the Taff Ely maintenance team was awarded a Ramblers’ National Volunteer Award.  

Kissing gates 

Since the group was formed it has purchased six kissing gates for Rhondda Cynon Taff Council to install on the Glamorgan Ridgeway walk.
