Wakefield Way

In 2004 the Wakefield Group compiled a 70 mile route around the boundary of the Wakefield District. This was updated and fully waymarked in 2017 and we continue to monitor and change the route in the light of ongoing building works throughout the area. Group committee

We have a dedicated committee whose members have a number of roles, including footpath monitoring and countryside issues as well as the usual secretary and treasurer roles. We usually meet three to four times a year and always welcome new members to join us to ensure Wakefield & District is a successful walking group. Our AGM is normally in January and again we encourage members to attend.
