Walking in and around Windsor
We are a walking group for people of all ages living in East Berkshire. We aim to offer an informal and relaxed approach to enjoying the countryside and villages in the east of the county. Occasionally we enjoy a train or coach outing further afield and tackle longer distance paths.
Where possible our walks end at a café or pub – a great way to get to know fellow members. Our walks are varied, so you are sure to find something to suit you.
Dogs - please note
At the discretion of the walk leader well trained dogs on short leads are welcome on some of our walks. However, longs trailing leads should not be used as they are a trip hazard. Please contact the walk leader before the walk to make sure the route is suitable for your dog.
Our walking community
We’re a small, friendly group of regular walkers, who share a passion for walking.
Our group organises around 10 walks each month. Most of our walks are between 4 and 6 miles - a morning’s worth of walking, with the occasional longer hike. We try to vary the days of the week for our walks so that everyone gets a chance to join us. There are four short walks that we do regularly every month.
So please come and sample our walks - you can walk two or three times with us before deciding to join the Ramblers – you will be made very welcome.
