We will cross the town passing many listed buildings, then follow Freight Lane to the relatively young woodland that is Barnett's Wood. We will then complete a loop through this and the more mature Comfort's Wood, which was donated to the Woodland Trust by Dr Alex Comfort. These mixed woodlands are thriving with flora and fauna for you to enjoy. It can be a little muddy in places so we recommend that you wear sturdy, waterproof footwear. This walk can take up to 90 minutes but the 9am group tend to be a little faster paced than the later groups. There is an opportunity to go for a drink in one of the many cafés in Cranbrook after the walk. Free parking is available in Jockey Lane car park or the nearby Co-op car park and buses stop in the high street.
