This walk, part of Carlisle One World’s Centre theme year of Bridging Faith Communities in Carlisle, will connect 10 places of worship in Carlisle on a new route that will be no more than 3 miles in length. It will be a wheelchair and pushchair accessible urban walk, on pavements and will include several road crossings, including an underpass. Walkers will have an opportunity to pay a short visit to the places of worship along the route where they will meet a host who may offer a short prayer or blessing to the group. The walk will commence from St. George’s United Reform Church on West Walls and the final stop, Uma Kadampa Meditation Centre, 16 Spencer St. will offer light refreshments to all participants.
