Overview

Previously the site of a municipal golf course, The Swifts Nature Reserve is now home to one of the very first urban bee and butterfly oasis in the North West of England.  Once manicured greens and fairways have been transformed into wildflower meadows, species-rich wetland and native woodland, helping to boost populations of bees and butterflies.  Join us for a circular walk around this beautiful and tranquil site, you’ll forget that you are incredibly close to the City centre!
