Did you know that Harrow has one of the most religiously active communities in the country? Would you like to know more about the different faiths within your Harrow Community?
Come and join us for a series of short walks and get to know more about your local area and the diverse faith groups in it. This walk has been organised in partnership with Harrow Interfaith to help people learn more about different faiths and to build understanding and respect among local communities, whilst also enjoying a free, friendly health walk led by a trained walk leader.
We will be walking from Harrow Leisure Centre to visit a local Hindu Ashram, where we will be welcomed with a short tour and talk to tell us more about the centre and its community. Refreshments and toilet facilities are available.
Comfortable walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothes are needed to join our friendly and easy-going walk. We will be walking on pavement and easy terrain.
Meeting Place: 10.45 am, Front entrance of Harrow Leisure Centre, Christchurch Avenue, HA3 5BD.
There are plenty of parking spaces at the Leisure Centre and it is well served by buses, including the H10. We will return to the meeting point at approximately 12.30 pm.
