Overview

The route climbs up to the Drakes cycle trail and follows it, going over the spectacular Gem Bridge. It then descends through the woods to Grenofen Bridge, returning to the cars on a path along the river and through the woods.

This walk may be muddy and is uneven underfoot in some places.

A short sharp climb at the beginning, then good level path along the old railway line. Descending on smaller footpaths to the riverside. Some sloping paths here but overall this is a very scenic walk with the spectacular Gem Bridge and the beautiful river bank section.
