Overview

Take an easy hour-long walk from High Heaton Library and through Paddy Freeman. You can enjoy nature and listen to an audiobook. At the end, you can chat about the book you listened to and share your thoughts.

The walk will start and end at High Heaton Library at 10:30 am. You can have a cup of tea or coffee there, and there are toilets you can use.

The path will be paved, and the route will go up and down hills.

If you have any questions about accessibility or health issues, please email readingforwellbeing@newcastle.gov.uk.

The walk is free, and there’s no cost to join in. Tablets with audiobooks are available if you don’t have your own device. Helpers are also on hand to show you how to use the Libraries Borrow Box app for more audiobooks.
