Overview

This year we’re planning to visit the Dukeries area on the North Nottinghamshire / Derbyshire border, with lots of historic, scenic and walking interest. Your support will be needed to ensure this enjoyable annual event can take place, with a choice of walks and sightseeing options:

  • A 10-mile linear walk taking in part of Clumber Park and the Robin Hood Way, passing close to Welbeck Abbey and on to Creswell Crags, ending at Welbeck Courtyard. Can be reduced to 8.5-miles by omitting extension to Creswell Crags.

  • A leisurely 4-mile walk visiting Holbeck village and Creswell Crags, which has its own museum and visitor facilities. Plenty of time to look around before returning to Welbeck via a woodland trail.

Both walks will finish at Welbeck Courtyard where there’s a garden centre, Gallery, Museum, Farm Shop and Café, and various signed walking routes.

If you’d prefer just to travel with us and do your own thing, you can simply enjoy a leisurely day in and around Welbeck and Creswell Crags (an easy self-guided 2.5-mile art trail walk visits both).

This is a full day out by coach from Sleaford, for which advance booking is required by Friday 27 June 2025 PLEASE
