Justin will be leading an 8 mile walk as part of this event, starting 11.00 (see below, and for other walk choices).
The route leads south-west of Watton through open country and woodland.
We leave the village, cross the railway and head across farmland to arrive at the hamlet of Bull's Green. From here we skirt a large estate, emerging at Nancybury Gorse and passing Queen Hoo Hall, a Grade II* listed Tudor manor house said to have been used as a hunting lodge by Elizabeth I. We then cross Bramfield Park Wood and pass through the village of Bramfield before climbing into the lovely Bramfield Woods. Bearing right into Wrens Wood and on to Perrywood Farm, we enter the last stretch and cross the railway once more before returning to Watton for a shared cream tea.
The route is undulating in parts but has no stiles; may be muddy in or after rain.
Please bring a packed lunch.
Family-friendly bearing in mind hills and length; dogs welcome on a lead.
