BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir or Neasden Temple was opened in 1995 as the first building of its kind in Europe. It is recognised as a spectacular masterpiece of traditional temple architecture in richly carved marble and Bulgarian limestone surrounded by gardens. More information in the link given below.
Please note that you will need to remove your shoes to enter - and make appropriate sock choices.
We shall meet at Redhill Station 915 a.m.
Leave Redhill station at approx 9.30 disembark at London bridge where we will catch the Jubilee Line tube to Neasden (13stops).
From there we will do a 25 minute walk to the temple.
The lunch at the Shayona vegetarian opposite the temple will cost £15 per person or you could bring a packed lunch and a drink as there is a park nearby with benches.
The most economical way to travel is to purchase a travel card zones 1-6 .I f you have a senior rail card your ticket should be approximately £14.
