Tiger Bay Ramblers (TBR) is a walking group for people of working age. It is based in Cardiff but walks across South Wales and beyond.

In the third walk of our new 20s-30s walking group we will be offering a joint walk with our main TBR walking group - so everyone is welcome to come along.
Starting outside Barry Island train station our walk takes us through Maslin Park around the headland of Jackson's Bay and Nell's Point, and along Barry Island beach to Friar's Point. From here we move to the harbour and Parade Gardens, on our way to The Knap and Marine Lake. We pass the remains of a Roman Villa as we make our way up a short hill to enjoy views across Barry Island before making our way through Birch Grove nature reserve and into Romilly Park. From here, we will return to the Knap gardens and Marine Lake before retracing our steps back to our start point.
The walk start time will enable those travelling by train to catch the 09:58 train from Cardiff Queen Street station and to arrive in Barry Island at 10:34 (depart at Barry Island station, not Barry Docks, or Barry station!)
Attendee's should come prepared for the weather on the day, and may wish to bring drink and snacks for rest breaks during the walk.
