Regrettably tomorrow’s walk has to be cancelled. Penny Best has been down to Stockton and inspected some of the paths we would be using. Many of them are very icy and made even worse by having a light covering of snow. With the forecast tonight, and first thing tomorrow, for more light snow and below zero temperatures the risk of slipping is just too great, leaving no alternative but to call off the walk.
Many thanks to Penny, and her husband Ian, for going down to Stockton to see if the walk would be safe for us. From what I understand they might even be contenders for "Dancing on Ice” now.
