We are Herts Weekend Walkers, HWW for Short . We are aimed at people aged in their 40s, 50s & 60s who are normally working during the week and can usually only find time to get outside and enjoy a walk at the weekend.

Starting at the Pig and Abbot pub in the High Street, we head over fields to the village of Bassingbourn. We then pass Clunch Pit Wood and join the Roman Road now known as Ashwell Street before doubling back to Litlington, where we pass The Cage, a small brick building used to house miscreants until 1840. We then head back to Abington Pigotts by way of Down Hall Farm. Typically for a walk in this part of the world, there is very little elevation, but the paths can become very muddy.
