We are the East Hertfordshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

We will leave Cottered by walking Northwards up Bull Lane on the Chain Walk. We will walk the paved driveway past Broadfield before walking round and through Friars Wood. From Beckfield Farm we will walk to the South of Roe Green and past Friars Grange. Skirting round Bachelor’s Wood we will pause at Rushden Church to say hello to Grannie Shaw.
We will leave Rushden via Treacle Lane. We will again join the chain walk to return to Cottered. This path gives lovely views over Hertfordshire’s rolling fields.
This walk is mainly on cross field paths with one section of very quiet road walking.
The Bull is available for after walk refreshments.
We will meet on the corner of Bull Lane and the A507 in front of The Bull.
