Welcome to the East Hertfordshire group. We have been a Ramblers group for over 35 years, covering the east Hertfordshire area. Not only do we walk throughout Hertfordshire, but you’ll also find us exploring west Essex, south Cambridgeshire, east Buckinghamshire and in and around London.
We are a friendly and social group and lead a variety of walks, including half-day and full day, mainly at weekends, although we do have some midweek walks. The all-day walks are in the region of 10 miles, and half-day walks in the region of 5 miles.
We also have ‘Welcome Walks’ which are social events to welcome new and old members, starting with a short morning walk and finishing with a lunch at a local pub. On all day walks there is always a picnic spot and sometimes a pub for some well-earned refreshment. Our walks have a mid-morning and mid-afternoon break as well.
New walkers are very welcome to come on two or three walks before deciding if they would like to join.
