A scenic but hilly walk, starting with a climb up St Martha's Hill, then descending into Chilworth with grazing Alpacas. Then through fields into Shalford, and along the River Wey into Guildford, for a picnic lunch in the Castle grounds. After visiting the Alice sculptures, we climb up the long hill out of Guildford onto Pewley Hill, and through the rolling countryside back to St Martha's.
Two steep hills, One steep descent. Walking poles and sturdy boots are advisable. May be muddy after rain.
Bring a picnic lunch.
*Note we will be maintaining a pace of over 2.5 miles/hr, so participants should be confident of walking at pace , including up steep hills.
