Overview

We will meet at East Ayrshire Council Offices at 9 20 , please note later time than usual, and travel south on A77 to Alloway KA7 4PQ  16 miles

We start the walk from the National Trust Visitor Centre in Alloway at 10 10 where there is plenty of car parking and toilets. The walk will take the old railway track which passes under the road where we can view the community art work then continue on a tarmac path to new seating area for first break.  We continue towards Greenan Shore where we can either cross a field and walk along the beach, tide permitting or take the high level path then cross the green and footbridge over the Doon before walking beside river and into Bellisle Park where we will have a second break in the conservatory.   We return across the golf course and along the pavement passing Burns Cottage, the Auld Kirk, Brig O’Doon and Burns Monument to finish at the visitor centre.

Anyone going straight to the visitor centre please contact Moira on 07522 324 214
