Titterstone Clee Hill is in the far south of the Shropshire Hills and the third highest.
This is an interesting area known for its industrial heritage mining Lime, Coal and more recently and importantly quarrying Dhustone. Previously the summit incorporated a Bronze Age Hill Fort.
From the car park we follow the old mineral railway (closed in 1962). Then after good tracks the walk joins the Shropshire Way for a steep climb to the summit. From here we descend into, and circle a large area of wild open heathland followed by a gradual climb onto Dhustone Hill.
From all parts of this walk hopefully we will enjoy wonderful views, as the attached photo.
Hill climbing will be at a pace to suit all and there are only two stiles but some of the terrain could be muddy. Please bring picnic food and drink for a short elevenses stop and lunch break.
Sorry no dogs are allowed on this walk.
