Overview

An 8 mile walk around the North side of Chasewater including sections of the Wyrley and Essington Canal and the McLean way on good paths. We start by walking over an area reclaimed from opencast mining to a high point( 75 ft of ascent) where we should get some good views and see some of the deer. We then walk along the West side of Chasewater for a coffee break. From here we leave Chasewater to head for the McLean way via paths and the canal. I am planning on a lunch stop on the McLean way before walking below the Miner Statue at Brownhills, then back to the cars via the canal and Chasewater dam.
