Overview

This is an alternative walk and will now include a walk around the Chailey Commons and surrounding farmland.

We cover Memorial, Lane End, Red House, Romany Ridge and leaving the common land to walk through local farm land returning to Pound and Memorial Commons.

This walk includes some stiles and uneven ground under foot. The area is popular with dog walkers. We should have some lovely views of the surrounding countryside.

The walk includes a walk through woodland on the common land and surrounding farm land which may offer some shade if it’s a sunny day.
The common is a recognised nature reserve and SSSI.

This walk is about 5 miles.
