Overview

This walk follows the river from Alfriston to Cuckmere Haven. The walk along the river may be muddy in places but should provide an opportunity to see local bird life along the river and views of the surrounding countryside. The route may change slightly depending on conditions on the day. They are currently doing some work along the river. The walk will be about nine miles.

We walk follows the South Downs Way between Alfriston and West Dean.

This is a chance to complete this walk before it becomes too muddy for the season.

Please bring a snack and a picnic. We will stop for lunch at the Tye in Alfriston.

Please text the leader if you plan to join this walk.
