Overview

There is a slight incline on firm ground for much of the way around Caradon Hill, following a disused railway track from the mining days. Great views of Stowes Hill,  Sharptor, Upton Cross and the Prince of Wales engine house. We pass close by Wheal Jenkin before stopping in Minions for refreshments. Toilets available along with a shop and Tearoom. We continue up Caradon Hill on a hard surface heading for the TV mast, before descending down over moorland on the edge of the East Caradon mining area. Past Wheal Tor pub & restaurant which was a Count House before arriving back at the car park. Option to walk across the road to Trevallicks Farm shop PL14 5PJ for refreshments

Bring snack and refreshments or purchase at Minions. Layers needed as it can be breezy up the hill.
