Overview

CHOICE OF WALK LENGTH - MAX APPROX 8 MILES (SHORTER OPTIONS APPROX 3.5 OR 5.5 MILES)

This walk starts on the edge of Newark and first follows a rural loop beside the River Trent with views of  birds, boats and riverside scenery. Approx. 3.5 miles back to start point (includes morning break but finishes before main lunch break). 

Continuing towards town, lunch break to be taken in Devon and Sconce Park with good facilities and lots of historical interest to look around. Return to start point direct from here via easy route along pavement (without leader) for a walk of approx. 5.5 miles. 

After lunch, walk through historic riverside parts of town, castle and market place before returning to start (total walk length approx. 8 miles).
