This is a pleasant approx. 6.5 mile walk which takes in good tracks and paths within Auchincriuve Estate including woodland areas and also along the river Ayr. The walk involves a mile of walking on footpaths through Annbank and re-entering Auchincriuve opposite Annbank C of S Church. We then proceed along the Burnside trail back into the Estate.
During the walk we will pass some historic buildings including the Clocktower building,Oswald House,Oswald Bridge, the Wallce and Burns Cairn and Oswald's Temple.
Risk Assessement:
Some paths are mucky and potentially slippy in places from same and also due to wet leaves on the ground. Be mindful of exposed tree roots and fallen branches. There is one fallen tree to get under along the river Ayr path. Also there is one style to negotiate which is adequate. Poles and gaiters advised.
