This is an easy walk, only one slight incline, a circular walk with the usual mix of pavements, paths, tracks and quiet lanes. We cross the river Witham twice on substantial bridges. No stiles. No livestock observed on the pre-walk so dogs are fine. Points of interest are Stapleford Church, a number of carvings dotted along the route
It is likely to be squelchy in places so waterproof boots. Usual stops for coffee and lunch but no benches. Please bring your own coffee and packed lunch.
The walk is officially 6.2miles but on our scouting walking we avoided going diagonally across a couple of fields due to them being muddy but instead went round the outer perimeter instead. 😊
We'll finish at the Bugle Horn pub in Bassingham, opposite the car park for those that fancy a drink afterwards.
