Overview

A shorter moderate walk now that the clocks have gone back by one hour. We start at the Batchwood Golf and Sports Centre, St Albans (free car park) and walk towards Harpenden with our lunch break at Redbourn, returning via Redbournbury Mill.

Bring a picnic and we can eat our sandwiches on the benches around Redbourn Common with time for a brief pub stop (drink only) at The Cricketers.

Entre Batchwood golf and sports centre from Batchwood Drive (opposite Beckett’s Avenue) and follow the driveway for about 200 metres. The driveway then passes through a small wooded area and the car park is the first turning on the right.
