Overview

STORM BERT. Saturday 23-Nov 17:00: For those of you who saw the comment I'd added on Friday night, I confirm that the walk will go ahead because the weather today in the Ware area has been much better than the Met Office forecast - with some light rain, minimal wind and no gusts. So I hope the weather tomorrow will also be better than forecast. I have however reduced the walk length from 11.2 to 10.1 miles. Thank you, Peter J.

An undulating moderate walk with river, meadow, farm and woodland sections, finishing along the River Lea towpath. Picnic stop at Wareside.

Bring a picnic. Brief pub stop. Optional car share from Barnet: Victors Way Car Park, EN5 5TR; W3W: rocks.gain.votes  Departs sharp at 09:15 (20 miles).
