Overview
The Beeleigh Falls and the Museum of Power
Meet: at the car park (free) of the Museum of Power at Langford, signed off the B1018 and accessed via John Fresh Way.
A pretty walk along the track-bed of a disused railway takes us from the village of Langford to the outskirts of Maldon. Return route which is packed with interest and involves passing the wonderful farmhouse of Beeleigh Abbey (1570) and later the dramatic Beeleigh Falls to tour the permanent collection of machines. [Why not complete the day with a visit to Maldon?]. We will take lunch at the end of the walk in or near The Steam Pump Tea Room but will have a mid-walk drink at the Sunny Sailor pub.
