Overview

Meet: in the car park of Brook Farm Open Space. Travelling north, the entrance drive is marked on the left off High Road, Whetstone (A1000) – just north of M&S and Travelodge which are on the right, as is Buckingham Avenue which is almost opposite it.

This fascinating and very varied walk takes in part of the Dollis Valley Greenway, part of Darlands nature reserve, open country, some very expensive properties in a very wealthy area on the edge of where London stops and the countryside begins. Lunch stop at The Orange Tree, Totteridge, but I suggest you bring your own food and use the pub for drinks only. It is pricey and there are reported issues over poor service for meals.

NB. The walk will pass Totteridge & Whetstone station (Northern line, High Barnet branch) at c.10.40/45. Should you wish to travel by tube, be there to meet us at 10.40. Finish by 15.00.
