This walk has been cancelled by the walk leader as the forecast is not ideal for Ledge Route - to be wet and windy. Also very poor visibility. The walk leader will try to rearrange soon in a better weather window.
We are the Linlithgow Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Starting at The North Face car park. A long but rewarding walk allowing you to see the majestic side of Ben Nevis. We do one of the easy ascents (scrambling required) to reach the summit of Carn Dearg via Ledge Route. We then traverse the plateau to the summit of Ben Nevis.
From here we have a steep descent through boulders to the Carn Mor Dearg Arete which we follow (mild scrambling) and on to the summit of Carn Mor Dearg itself.
Then a long descent to pick up the path back to our starting point. Please note that this walk may be changed to Sunday 4th August based on the weather forecast.
