We are the Brighton and Hove Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A circular walk starting from the Greenleas Recreation Ground Car Park in Hangleton, heading along the Monarch’s Way and the Sussex Border Path down into Saddlescombe Farm for lunch.
Food and hot and cold drinks are available at the Wildflower Cafe. For those bringing a picnic lunch there are picnic tables and shelter in a barn, near the cafe.
The afternoon part of the walk is up past Devil’s Dyke, a short way along the SDW then along the western part of the Sussex Border Path, rejoining the Monarch’s Way and returning to Hangleton.
There is the option of a post-walk beverage at the lovely Hangleton Manor.
If you can, please RSVP to this walk via our Meetup site. This will give the walk leader a rough idea of how many people may be attending. If you are a paid up member of the Ramblers organisation, you can ignore any waitlist you may find yourself on.
We don't ask you to pay to join us on your first three walks. Afterwards, in order to continue walking with our group, you must become a paid-up member of the Ramblers.
