Overview

This circular walk starts from Berkhamsted and takes in parts of the Ashridge Estate, across fields - muddy if wet - and through beech woods, passing through the villages of Frithsden, Nettleden and Little Gaddesden. The route follows parts of the Hertfordshire Way and Chiltern Way, offering views of Ashridge House, the Bridgewater Monument and Berkhamsted Castle. Moderate pace, bring packed lunch and refreshments.
