Welcome to Capital Walkers, the friendly London Ramblers group for people aged 40+. We walk every weekend and usually at least once during the week.
A short winter walk along the Thames from Blackfriars Bridge to the Inner London AGM at the AHOY Centre, Borthwick Street, Deptford, London SE8 3JY. The Inner London AGM is from 2.00 to 4.00pm. We start at Blackfriars Bridge and walk past HMS Belfast, Tower of London and Tower Bridge. We continue along the Thames Path passing Butlers Wharf and the works for the Super Sewer. We pass the Brunel Museum and the entrance to the Rotherhithe tunnel. We deviate to walk up Stave Hill which has impressive views of London. We then go through Russia Dock Woodland to Greenland Dock and return to the Thames. We continue along the Thames Path until we reach the AHOY Centre, the venue for the Inner London AGM.
Please bring a packed lunch as we will not be having a long lunch break which will be when we reach the AHOY centre.
