We are Reigate Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
We meet at the Bletchingley village hall car park (behind Lawrences Auctioneers) for a 5.5 mile circular walk. Initially we follow the Greensand Way with good views southwards and a gentle descent over circa 1 mile. The route runs parallel to the M23 before joining the Tandridge Border Path and crossing the Redhill to Tandridge Railway line tracks. We then turn eastwards across fields and through Temple Wood and Bransland Wood before turning northwards to pick up our friend the Greensand Way and an ascent back to Bletchingley through pretty countryside . The walk is mostly on good paths but inevitably there are muddy patches and nine reasonable quality stiles! There is an also a 0.6 mile section along Outwood Lane to pick up the public footpath. Back in Bletchingley there are various pub choices (Red Lion, Whyte Harte) for those that want a drink and/or a bite to eat.
1 ascent at the end but over circa 1 mile, 1 descent at the beginning but over circa 1 mile, 9 stiles, 2 - 2.5 mph (our usual pace). Registered assistance dogs only.
